TraceTag is a unique DNA tagging security system which can apply an infinite number of unique codes to a wide variety or liquid and solid materials. Marked items can be identified unequivocally to provide proof of ownership or source and to facilitate the detection of fraud and theft.

ICI Security Systems has chosen TraceTag to add a unique deterrent feature to its product range's staining performance. By combining overt (ink & dye) and covert (DNA) security devices, ICI staining products now offer ultimate protection. The TraceTag code allows ICI to trace each staining device through its life cycle, from the production batch to the final location in the field. Thanks to TraceTag, cash stained by a ICI product during a hold-up, or ATM, pavement or transport attack, can be traced back to the crime scene and its original owner or insurer. TraceTag increases the criminal's risk or arrest and helps prevent future attacks.
